Training Dates
The following training dates have been scheduled onsite at
Southminster Church (1401 Hoffman Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054)
for our Buddys and Volunteers:
- Monday January 27th 6:30pm
- Saturday February 1st 10:00am
- Sunday February 2nd 4:00pm
Sessions are typically less than an hour in length and provide you with the layout of our facility (especially important this year due to new construction on the grounds!), activities that will be available to the guests, procedures for meeting your guest (if you are a Buddy) and for getting your guest to their transportation at the end of the evening.
Also, for our Guest’s safety, we will have a security team, Gaston County Sheriff Deputies, and GEMS medical staff that will be on hand should we have a need for them. Our staff will instruct you how to identify someone that can help you, should you need assistance.
Please note, you must attend one of these sessions to participate as a volunteer/buddy for
“Night to Shine“.
