2024 Volunteer Information

2024 Night To Shine

Southminster church is once again pleased to be selected as a host site for the Tim Tebow FoundationsNight to Shine” event on Friday, February 9th, 2024!!

As a Volunteer, you serve a very important role to help make this a special night for all of our Guests. Whether helping to setup, serving as paparazzi at the red carpet, or being a one-on-one “Buddy” to a guest, every role is critical to ensuring our Guests experience. If you are considering being a volunteer, here are some of the opportunities for you to choose from:

Buddy
This is a one-on-one experience with a Guest. You will be paired with a registered Guest and from the moment they step off the Red Carpet until they leave for the night, you are their guide for all they do. (Super Buddies are available to you should you need assistance)

Registration
Volunteers arrive earlier than our Guests/Volunteers to get things setup, so if you are available to help with Volunteer Checkin, be sure your schedule will allow you to be on campus even earlier to get our other participants to their positions. Once volunteers are cleared, you can participate in another role as well.

Guest Registration starts early and continues thru the evening but usually is over before 7pm. This position helps the Guest get their name badge and gets them to the Red Carpet for their arrival at the event. You can also help with other activities (other than a Buddy) once you are done at registration.

Activities
Volunteers help to run the various activities, whether it’s positioning a Guest at the Step and Repeat Photo stop, stuffing gift bags, preparing or serving food or being a member of our Paparazzi cheering and taking pictures.

*Specialty Positions
Traffic control, Security, and Vendors are listed on the volunteer form but please only select these if you are told to do so by a committee member or team leader. We have more stringent requirements for those roles and they are typically organized by the team lead.
